Meet Joe Bogan
Joe began woodworking as a hobby over a dozen years ago and has made anything from patio furniture to luxury jewelry boxes. Today, he specializes in premium quality teak end-grain cutting and serving boards. His unique, one-of-a-kind boards are purpose built to last for generations. As a former Marine, Joe takes tremendous pride in his work and is confident that you will be satisfied with his products and top-notch customer service. Joe has also committed to give back to nature by having one tree planted for every board sold.
The final addition to every piece is the exact same: A signature. A date. And an origin.
The Signature – Adding my signature on each of my products is not simply a “logo” for me. Signing my name to each of my products is my way of guaranteeing the robustness, quality of craftsmanship and guarantee behind them. I will never add my name to anything I build unless it meets my very specific expectations.
The Date – I, as well as many of my customers agree, these products are of heirloom quality. I could add a serial number, but that would only be meaningful to me. Adding the date gives my customers an opportunity to recall the time of purchase as well as reflect back on how long my product has been apart of their family - cutting boards need birthday, right? Not that I expect any of my products to end up on “Antiques Roadshow” one day – but… you never know.
The Origin – This assures my customers that these items are not only made in the USA, but “handcrafted” in the USA. I’ve seen many companies advertise their products as “Designed in the USA”, but actually made overseas. And for some products “Made in the USA”, might mean mass-produced items with limited quality control. That’s why I choose to label my products as “Handcrafted in USA” Because they are simply that... Handcrafted products designed, built, and shipped by me from Tampa, Florida USA.
